Accrued Interest
The interest earned on a bond since the last coupon payment date.

American Option
An option that may be exercised at any point during its lifetime, up to and including the expiration date (see also options).

Arbitrage
A trading strategy that takes advantage of two or more securities being mispriced relative to each other.

Arbitrageur
An individual engaging in arbitrage.

Asian Option
An option with a payoff dependent the average price of the underlying asset during a specified period of time (see also options).

Aviation Turbine Kerosene (ATK)
A refined petroleum product with a boiling range of 150-260 degrees centigrade which is used as fuel for jet engine aircraft (also known as Jet Fuel).

At-the-money Option (see also options)

  • At-the-money spot: an option with a strike price the same as the prevailing market price of the underlying asset.
  • At-the-money forward: an option with a strike price the same as the prevailing market price of the underlying forward (or futures) contract.
